Valentine’s Day is almost here. Perhaps you have already thought up the perfect present for your partner, but without a doubt if you want to organize something really special you should plan a romantic weekend to enjoy together.

There are many ideas to make the 14 th of February extra memorable. To gift a romantic getaway to Seville is a great bet, especially if you carefully plan the trip. Here is a short list of small details that can inspire you as you plan:

-If it is a surprise gift, leave hidden clues and don’t tell your partner about the destination until they guess or discover it.
-Book a romantic dinner or lunch in advance at a local restaurant near the hotel where you will stay. In the Triana quarter there are many restaurants with beautiful views of the river, the Torre de Oro, or the Giralda that are sure to take your breath away.

If you are going to spend the whole weekend in Seville, we have a few suggestions for activities you can enjoy during your stay. If you want to do the usual sightseeing, you shouldn’t miss a visit to the Giralda and if you have time, the Torre de Oro. Make sure you check the opening hours for both these monuments in advance, since depending on the time and day, not all areas of the Giralda are open to the public.

Another charming must see for couples is the Royal Alcázar. Historical residence of monarchs that includes perfectly preserved hundred-year-old buildings and vast beautiful gardens.

On the other hand, there is nothing better than to wander through the alleyways of the Santa Cruz quarter. An old centric part of the city, full of narrow streets, quaint patios and lovely old buildings, it is the perfect place to enjoy a drink or a romantic dinner. It is also worth passing through the Callejón del Agua, or Water Alley, with its fountains and plants.

Finally, to make the most of the afternoon before heading to the restaurant or returning to the hotel, we recommend a stroll through the Maria Luisa Park and a visit to the Plaza de España. This semi-circular plaza provides the perfect photo opportunity and also the chance to take a wonderful ride in the rowing boats, making any date extra special.
